About Me

My name is Alice. I'm 13 and my native language is french. I live in France (Paris) and I go to an international school. The reason I speak English is because I spent a year in Pleasanton, near San Francisco, C.A, when I was in the fourth grade. I like writing stories in english and in french, depending on the story's setting. My favorite book series is Harry Potter. I read it in french in the Second Grade and then I re-read it like fifty times still in french. I realise that over time my perspective on this book changes and I have grown to love the Harry Potter universe as I read it again and again. For some reason I prefer the french version, probably because it has a childhood significance which I desperately want to hang on to.

Recently I read The Help, which I LOVED, as we get to know and love Skeeter throughout the book and how she reacts to the hypocrite and racist people in her world. I also read The Grapes of Wrath. It was the first book I read by John Steinbeck and it left me with strong emotions.

My favorite movie is... I don't have a favorite movie, however I LOVE watching movies. The best ones I've seen are the Western Spaghetti movies with Clint Eastwood, Titanic, Gran Torino (I absolutely love Clint Eastwood)... I also love Pirates of the Carribbean and Johnny Depp <3  as well as the Star Wars saga.

My favorite series are Downton Abbey and Pretty Little Liars. Actually, these are the only two series I ever fully watched and I ever fully got addicted to. I love Pretty Little Liars because it makes me step into a totally different world from mine, even if it's unrealistic.

In life I play the cello (i've played it for 6 years! <3cello) and I do kayak on the river Seine. It's my first year of kayak and it's FANTASTIC.
